[p. 649] In its above-mentioned Order of 10 January 1986, the
Chamber stated that the provisional measures therein set out were indicated "pending
its final decision in the proceedings instituted on 20 October 1983 by the
notification of the Special Agreement" concluded between the Parties. It
follows that such Order ceases to be operative upon the delivery of the present
Judgment, and that the provisional measures lapse at the same time. In
accordance with Article 41 of the Statute of the Court, notice of the
provisional measures indicated was given forthwith to the Security Council of
the United Nations through the Secretary-General; the Chamber notes that the
Secretary General will also receive a copy of the present Judgment, in
accordance with Article 95 of the Rules of Court.
