C. Internationale Konferenz über "Israel and the Palestinian Refugees"

In der Zeit vom 11. bis 13. Juli 2003 fand am Institut eine Konferenz zum Thema "Israel and the Palestinian Refugees" in Zusammenarbeit mit den Professoren Benvenisti und Gans von der Universität Tel Aviv sowie Dr. Hanafi vom Shaml Center statt. Das Symposium verfolgte das doppelte Ziel, die Themenstellung aus interdisziplinärer Sicht und durch israelische und palästinensische Wissenschaftler zu erörern. Dabei wurde im wesentlichen Parität zwischen beiden Gruppen erreicht. An einführende Vorträge zu den einzelnen Themen des Symposiums schloß sich die allgemeine Diskussion unter den Teilnehmern an. Die Diskussionsleitung lag bei Prof. Frowein und bei Prof. Wolfrum.
