The Dag Hammarskjöld Library (DHL), library at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, has a very extensive collection of UN documents and publications, a strong League of Nations collection and a selective collection of specialized agency materials. 
The United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) Library, as United Nations European Library, has a unique collections of documents and publications of the League of Nations, including some rare materials from the pre-League period.


UNBISNET is the catalogue of United Nations(UN) documents and publications indexed by the UN Dag Hammarskjöld Library and the Library of the UN Office at Geneva. UNBISNET coverage is primarily from 1979 onward, however, more and more older documents are being added to the catalogue on a regular basis as a result of retrospective conversion and ongoing digitization efforts in the UN Dag Hammarskjöld Library. It should also be noted that UNBISnet provides instant access to a growing number of full text resources in the six official languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish). The Library of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) offers two Catalogues for online search (period 1919 - 1986 and period1987 - today).

The UNRIC Library has compiled a list of journals, newletters and bulletins published by the United Nations system that are available online and can be accessed free of charge.

Addresses of all UN Depository Libraries worldwide , with indications of their stock , are available at the link UN Depository Libraries.

At the United Nations Cartographic Section you can get worldwide and regional geographic information and maps. Should you want to know more about the peace actions of the United Nations, you find the corresponding map material on the internet pages of the above office. From the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) see:


The Virtual library of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will open a wealth of information at the WAICENT Portal .

From the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is offered a Data Center Databases and Scientific Services , which is also gateway to the IAEA Library.

 The Library and Information Services of the Interlational Labour Organization (ILO) offer access to several databases, two of which are:
the ILOLEX, a database on international labour standards and for the national labour law you may consult the NATLEX.

The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in a joint library network . It consists of 11 libraries and resource centers, serving the World Bank Group and IMF. The catalogue research is available online with JOLIS.  

The World Meteorological Organizations (WMO) allows access to its WMO Information System (WIS)

The Library of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) provides access to documents and information of and about the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), 1947 - 1994 as well as to the WTO Documents and Documents online, 1995 - today.
