Comparative Public Law with focus on Namibia and South Africa

Academic Career

03/2009: Advisor to a delegation of legal experts and politicians from Namibia on their study visit on the subject of the German Administrative Court system

Since 11/2008: Research Fellow at the MPI for Comparative Public Law and International Law in the project “Handbuch Ius Publicum Europaeum”; at the same time doctoral thesis on administrative law reform projects in development cooperation (with the example of Namibia and South Africa) under the supervision of Prof. M. O. Hinz at the University of Bremen

2008: work for KAS in its regional office in Windhoek, Namibia; Consultant for the KAS, Rule of Law Programme for Subsaharan-Africa, within the Namibian administrative law reform project in partnership with the Law Reform and Development Commission of Namibia

2005-2007: Referendariat (legal clerkship) at the Landgericht (Regional Court) Waldshut-Tiengen; legal training with Bloomfield & Associates in Montréal

2000-2005: Law studies in Freiburg i. Br.
