Academic Career:

Marc Jacob is a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law. He has a broad interest in all fields of public international law. His current work focuses on international investment law, transnational dispute resolution, international courts and tribunals, conflict of laws, EU law and English public law. He is also completing a doctorate on judicial precedent in international law, with a special focus on the European Court of Justice.

 

He was educated at University College London (LL.B. First Class 2004) and Harvard Law School (LL.M. 2005) and was called to the bar of England and Wales in 2006 (Inner Temple). During bar school he taught contract and tort law and jurisprudence at University College London. He was editor-in-chief (joint) of the UCL Jurisprudence Review in 2004-2005.
