Driving directions
By car
The easiest way to reach the Institute is to start from the main train station. Follow Mittermaierstrasse northbound crossing the Ernst Walz bridge which then becomes Berliner Straße and continue in the same direction until you reach the tram stop "Technologiepark" (third stop past the Ernst Walz bridge). Turn left at the stoplight into the Neuenheimer Feld. After about 150m you will find the Institute on your right.
By train
Take the train to Heidelberg's main station, then take either tram line 21 or 24 (towards Handschuhsheim) until you reach the tram stop "Technologiepark". Upon leaving tram turn left into the Neuenheimer Feld. After about 150m you will find the Institute on your right.
By plane
From the airport in Frankfurt you have two options. You can take the Lufthansa airport shuttle which brings you directly to Heidelberg (Crowne Plaza Hotel) and which runs on the hour starting at 8:00 am until 11 pm. From the Crowne Plaza Hotel (which is situated in the Kurfürstenanlage 1-3), walk to your left until you reach the tram stop "Poststraße". From there, take tram line 21 (towards Handschuhsheim) until you reach the tram stop "Technologiepark". Upon leaving tram turn left into the Neuenheimer Feld. After about 150m you will find the Institute on your right.
Alternatively, you can take the train from the airport to Heidelberg directly. From the main train station, take either tram line 21 or 24 (towards Handschuhsheim) until you reach the tram stop "Technologiepark". Upon leaving tram turn left into the Neuenheimer Feld.
