The Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (MPIL) was most delighted to host the 4th Annual Max Planck Young Legal Scholars Forum, which took place on the 28th and 29th of June 2018 in the most picturesque city of Heidelberg. While in the past, this forum had been dedicated to PhD candidates in law or law related disciplines from within the several Max Planck Institutes (MPIs) alone, this year we intended to also extend the invitation to PhD researchers who are not associated with a particular MPI. With this, we hoped, the discussions and debates would acquire further richness and diversity.
As always, the forum was a wonderful opportunity to engage, share experiences, and solidify contacts with other PhD candidates. Participants were encouraged (but not obliged!) to present their ongoing PhD or other institute related research and in the process received feedback from other participants to the forum. The forum was held in English.
