26. Im 6. Ausschuß führte der deutsche Vertreter zum Beratungsgegenstand der Nutzung internationaler Gewässer für andere als Schiffahrtszwecke (Framework Convention on the Law of the Non-Navigational Uses of International Watercourses) aus, das Prinzip der nachhaltigen Entwicklung solle in Art. 5 als der Schlüsselvorschrift der Entwurfsartikel enthalten sein. Die Konvention solle die Formulierung enthalten: "conditioned by the protection of the watercourse in respect to the principle of sustainable development".75
