You are here: Research Interaction at the Institute Visiting Scholars
Every year, numerous visiting scholars from around the world as well as grant recipients from diverse research organizations make use of the possibilities offered by the Institute. During their stays, they have a workspace in the library, the most important tool for both the Institute’s research fellows and guests, at their disposal. They are, moreover, invited to take part in the scholarly life of the Institute with respect to lectures and discussion groups.
Institute Grants
The Institute bestows grants on foreign scholars every year for stays lasting up to six months. Grants are awarded in the summer for the following year. Application procedures and further relevant information can be found at Institute Grants.
Self-financed research and stays financed by third parties
Scholars who are not applying for an Institute Grant, but rather wish to spend time at the Institute at their own expense or on the basis of third-party financing, may at any time request permission to do so from one of the Directors of the Institute (please contact: internationalofficer@mpil.de).
