The next screening of the Law & Cinema series invites seminar participants to explore the universe of the Mexican drug economy and its consequences for executive measures and legislation in other countries. In celebration of the 200 years of Mexico’s independence, Luis Estrada created El infierno (2010), a satire about politics and crime against the background of Mexican drug traffic, launching a debate not only about this massive parallel economy but also the state itself.
The movie will be screened on Tuesday, July 21, at 6:30 pm, in Room 014. It will be presented and commented by Pedro Villarreal Lizárraga. Afterwards, there will be an informal discussion with the participants.
