Discussion and Working Formats

Numerous discussion and working formats at the Institute facilitate an atmosphere conducive to  confidential discourse and provide open spaces for intensive exchange as well as concentrated academic debate. At the Monday Meeting of its academic staff, the Institute’s fellows give short reports on current legal questions. The research seminars of the directors allow for deeper discussion of ongoing research projects. The MPIL Agora offers a forum for projects of visiting researchers, opening one’s own as well as others’ research to new perspectives. The Max Planck Lecture Series and the Max Planck Master Class expose the work of recognized scholars to debate and promote communication between them and researchers at the Institute’s.
