Max Planck Group on Business and Human Rights

Verantwortlich:

Über das Projekt:

In this interdisciplinary working group, researchers with an expertise in public international law, human rights law, labour law, environmental law, socio-legal studies, and political science share knowledge on issues related to business and human rights. The group examines and assesses the international law-making and political processes in this area (notably the further development of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights of 2011 and the draft for a legally binding instrument), human rights litigation against business actors, and the implementation of business obligations in domestic private and criminal law.

News

The Max Planck Group has given input to the UNGPsplus10 project “Business and Human Rights: Towards a Decade of Global Implementation”. The project has been launched by the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights, supported by a number of states and other stakeholders. In 2020, the project had initiated an open call called " 'Have your say", inviting comments on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and on the future of business and human rights more generally. The Max Planck Group input can be found here.
